We use every precaution to ensure that the piercing process is undertaken in the most sterile conditions by using fresh gloves and a new sterilized surgical needle for every client, you get to see the package opened in front of you and the needle disposed of immediately afterwards. All tools and instruments are cleaned and autoclave sterilized before use on each client. All jewellery is ultrasonically cleaned and autoclaved before used in any new piercing.
Autoclaves use heat and steam pressure over an extended period of time to ensure the equipment is properly sterilized. An autoclave is the same device used in hospitals to sterilize their equipment and is recognized as the most efficient way to sterilize equipment.
When getting pierced we recommend and use titanium as it is a lot less likely that your piercing will get infected.
For the first month it is a good idea to try and avoid pools as they contain chlorine, be careful to clean your piercing after if you do, seawater is fine.
Not all piercings feel the same, not everyone feels the same amount of pain. Most people say it is like a small pinch that is over in seconds. The needles we use are very sharp to make the piercing as painless as possible.
